DOE Regional Science Bowl

Overview

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Pacific Northwest Site Office and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory are primary sponsors for the DOE Regional Science Bowl.

The Science Bowl is a Jeopardy-style oral question and answer competition designed to challenge teams of high school students in math and science.  Students are from high schools in southeastern and western Washington and eastern Oregon.  Winner of the regional event represents our area at the National Science Bowl in Washington, DC.

Each competing team consists of 4 or 5 student members. (Only 4 will be playing at any time.) To be eligible to compete, a high school student must be enrolled for the current school year in grades 9, 10, 11, or 12 at the team’s school.
