Battelle Scholars Endowment Fund at WSU Tri-Cities

Washington State University Tri-Cities (WSU Tri-Cities), located in Richland, Washington, administers a scholarship program established by the Battelle Memorial Institute Foundation for high school graduates or home-school equivalents of Benton and Franklin Counties in Washington State, which provides one scholarship for a full-time freshman at WSU Tri-Cities. This award is a $2,000 scholarship per year, renewable for up to four years at WSU Tri-Cities.

Eligibility:

  • 2.0 GPA;
  • Full-time enrollment (12 semester credits minimum);
  • Graduate of a high school equivalent in Benton or Franklin County, Washington. (Running Start disallowed as must have freshman status for the entire first year);
  • Demonstrate leadership abilities and academic achievements; and
  • Majors: mathematics, science, computer science, engineering or teacher education with an emphasis in these disciplines at the primary or secondary level

Scholarship Amount:

  • $2,000 ($1,000 per semester). Renewable up to four years by maintaining satisfactory progress toward completion of an undergraduate degree at WSU Tri-Cities in above majors

Beginning in 2011, WSU Tri-Cities has moved to an online system where only one application will be required to apply for all WSU Pullman and WSU Tri-Cities Scholarships. No other applications will be accepted.
